We are a Christian student organization at Georgetown University focused on doing life together as we walk with God and advance His purposes on our campus. Every Wednesday night at 8pm we meet to worship God, connect with each other, and listen to what God’s Word says about our lives. Throughout the week small group Bible studies (called Lifegroups) meet to hang out, discuss, ask questions, and walk with God together. If you are a college student looking to get more deeply connected with other students in Chi Alpha, then Lifegroups are for you. If you are interested in joining a Lifegroup, contact us for more info.
Our mission statement is this: To build lifelong followers of Jesus Christ, Chi Alpha at Georgetown is a passionate, diverse, theo-centric community of discipleship with an outward focused, unselfish love led by God's spirit.
Chi Alphas are on university campuses all over the world. We’re a network of Christian ministries that look a little bit different on every campus – but here’s what you’re always sure to find: students who are hungry for God to impact their own lives, their generation, and the world. To find out more, visit the national Chi Alpha website.
TRANSFORMING THE UNIVERSITY, THE MARKETPLACE & THE WORLD
We believe that campus ministry is one of the most strategic mission fields in the world. The university is a battlefield of ideas and attitudes. We want the Lord to help us create an environment for students that can be a home away from home. An environment of fellowship, discipleship, prayer, worship, and mission. Where they know that they matter. A place where everyone belongs.
MEET THE STAFF
Bonnie graduated from Georgetown in 2013 (and again in 2017) with English degrees and is the Director for Chi Alpha. Originally from the great state of Texas, Bonnie loves adventures, all things Chi Alpha, weenie dogs, giraffes, and the Washington Nationals. One of her favorite parts of the job is the Serious Business Committee. Because she is serious about serious business.
Jessie graduated from Georgetown in 2017 where she majored in English. She is a more-than-casual fan of hiking, corgis, Canada, and is one of the founding members of the Adventure Buddy Squad.
